Our mission at Booked for Charity is to share the joy of reading with young readers and ensure that every child, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to experience the magic of books.
History & Background
Our organization was founded in November 2024 out of a desire to encourage young people to discover the excitement and value of reading. Noticing that many children lacked opportunities to explore books outside of the classroom, we created this initiative to help make literature more accessible and enjoyable for them.
From the very beginning, our focus has been on supporting young readers and celebrating the important role books can play in their lives.
Meet the Founder
Fleur, our founder, is a lifelong book lover passionate about inspiring young readers. She started this organisation to help children discover books that spark imagination and confidence.
Our Impact
- Reached over 2,400+ supporters since launching in November 2024
- Built an engaged online community passionate about youth literacy and the power of books
- Shared book recommendations, reading challenges, and volunteer opportunities that promote reading among young people
